A.G. Coe & Son was founded in 1929 by George Coe who dedicated his life to introducing quality furniture into the Suffolk area.
In 1973, his son John Coe inherited his fathers thriving business at a time when the American airbases in the local area were rapidly expanding as American support to the UK & Europe was at its height. It was during this time that John first forged a relationship with Karel Mintjens, who was looking for a suitable outlet to launch his distinctive range of Belgium Oak furniture in the UK. A.G. Coe & Son soon established itself as the largest UK showroom for the Karel Mintjens range. Since then, A.G. Coe & Son has remained the leading UK outlet for this style of furniture.
Today, continuing the family tradition, the business is run by John's son, Nigel Coe. In addition to their ever popular furniture, they now sell a large range of quality Grandfather clocks from the Cambridge Clock Company and cuckoo clocks from the Schneider household based in the Black Forest region of Germany. |
